Relais Group Plc announced that its subsidiary, STS Sydhamnens Trailer Service AB, has agreed to acquire Team Verkstad Sverige AB from Vy Buss AB. Team Verkstad Sverige AB, specializing in maintenance and repair services for buses and heavy commercial vehicles, employs about 34 professionals. The acquisition, expected to close on 1 October 2024 pending regulatory approval, includes one workshop and one damage repair workshop in Partille, near Gothenburg, Sweden. Post-acquisition, Team Verkstad Sverige AB will retain its name for up to one year. This move aims to strengthen STS's position in the Gothenburg area and enhance its bus repair and maintenance services. Team Verkstad Sverige AB is projected to have annual net sales of approximately SEK 60 million and an annual operating profit of about SEK 2 million. Key executives from both companies expressed optimism about the acquisition, highlighting its strategic fit and benefits for employees, customers, and stakeholders. Relais Group, a leading consolidator in the vehicle aftermarket in the Nordic and Baltic countries, reported net sales of EUR 284.3 million in 2023 and employs around 1,000 professionals across six countries.
