YIT Corporation has been selected as a partner by the Turku Tramway Alliance for the project management contract of the Port of Turku-Varissuo tramway line's depot and power supply station structures. The main clients are Turun Raitiotie Oy and the City of Turku, with service providers including NRC Group Finland Oy and others. YIT's role in the development phase is to manage the planning of the depot and power supply station buildings to create cost-effective solutions and set a budget target with the alliance. The project’s continuation depends on the Turku City Council's decision to invest in the tramway by the end of 2025, with a preliminary budget of EUR 30 million. YIT Corporation announced the construction of Asunto Oy Raaseporin Norra Marina, a row house and apartment building project located at Ekenäs’ North Harbor. Construction began in December 2024, with completion expected by December 2025. The project, valued at approximately EUR 13 million, includes 34 homes—12 row houses and 22 apartments—spanning about 3,100 square meters. The development offers a seaside location with easy access to Ekenäs’ services and features environmentally friendly designs, including geothermal heating and solar panels. YIT Corporation has begun constructing a self-developed apartment building, Asunto Oy Tampereen Ohjaaja, in the Tohlopinranta residential area. The construction started in November 2024 and is expected to finish by December 2025. The project, valued at approximately EUR 11 million, will be recorded in YIT's order book for the fourth quarter of 2024. The six-storey building, located on the shore of Lake Tohloppi, will consist of 38 apartments ranging from 23 m² to 100.5 m², all featuring balconies. The building will incorporate environmentally friendly features, including water-circulating ceiling heating panels, district heating, solar panels, and renewable electricity during construction. It will also facilitate green living choices for residents and minimize construction waste. The area offers natural surroundings with access to recreational activities. Upon completion, traffic will be redirected to create a green park area, enhancing the district's appeal.
